Aspiring SGT- any advice?
Hello everyone,
I am a young SGT (24). I am active in the AGR program as a 92Y. I love the army and I love my job. I just want more. I have wanted to be a pilot since I was a kid. So I have decided to chase my dreams. I meet all requirements, score high on my PT test, have the will and determination it takes, and have begun to get my packet for the June board. Anyone have any advice on things I can do to make my self stand out among the competition? Also anyone have any advice on how one can locate and respectfully ask for an interview for a LOR from a senior aviation Warrant? Any advice, opinions, or constructive criticism is welcomed. My e-mail is austin.lawson@us.army.mil.
Thank You,
Sgt. Lawson, Austin E.

Almost Finished
Hello All,
IM back and have progressed on my packet. I have passed my AFAST, and knocked out phase one of my flight physical. The civilian from Fort Campbell said he was going to call me sometime this week and more than likely tell me to come up the following Monday to finish phase 2. Then it will be ready for Ft. Rucker. He looked over my physical documentation and told me I will have no problem with the physical. However, he mentioned that I was to big to fly a Kiowa. Good thing IM going for apache. I have my LOR from my CC and BC. Finished my resume. My packet is almost complete and I would like to hit the July board (turned in by 1 June) Only thing I really like is LOR from a senior warrant. I am willing to drive to Ft. Knox, Campbell, Jackson, Benning for interview, PT test (what ever is necessary). Any help would be appreciated.
Respectfully,
